Product description
The metal part that holds the battery in place is welded to the chassis sheet metal.
This bracket or holder is not factory mounted on most floorpans (see picture to make sure), you must transfer it from your old chassis. This gives you a brand new base with an old rusty battery holder, much better to replace the holder too.
This holder has never been delivered separately by Volkswagen Germany, with the arrival of this perfect reproduction the problem is solved and you no longer have to transfer the old battery holder.
This battery holder is only suitable for 12-volt batteries, for 6-volt bakelite batteries you still need to transfer the existing holder from your old floorpan.
