Up to and including a displacement of 1679 cc, standard cylinder heads would suffice in terms of size, above that the heads must be turned out to the size of the cylinders. You can turn out your existing cylinder heads, but think carefully, after all your objective is higher engine power and that will never succeed with standard valves. Moreover, original cylinder heads are designed for up to 50 hp, you can imagine that if you want to get double the power from that, the whole thing is not made for this. Not only in terms of cracks, but also in terms of heat dissipation. In short, using an original cylinder head is not advisable. You will have to take the step to a cylinder head designed for higher engine power and equipped with larger valves. All cylinder heads listed here are supplied completely filled, further information on this is listed in the explanations, please read these carefully to make an informed choice.
Please note: a cylinder head undergoes many treatments where iron filings are released, therefore rinse the cylinder head thoroughly to ensure that no filings remain.
All cylinder heads listed below are suitable if the base for your engine is a type 1, type 3 or CT/CZ engine equipped with a dual intake.

EMPI belongs to the very small group of suppliers that does not use the Autolinea basic cylinder head, but produces it 100% in-house, from casting to finishing. Consequently, the EMPI cylinder head stands head and shoulders above all other brands (which do use the Autolinea cylinder head as a base). The GTV-2 cylinder heads can be mounted directly, no machining of combustion chamber, inlet and outlet ports, grinding and even re-milling of valve seats is necessary. EMPI assumes that everyone should be able to assemble their heads successfully, not just professionals equipped with ample machinery. Certainly the professional will prefer the EMPI GTV-2 over all other brands, the time savings achieved with EMPI heads is in stark contrast to the higher price.

When purchasing these GTV-2 cylinder heads, 12 mm spark plugs should be used so order them directly.
