It is not always necessary to purchase a complete wiring harness. In many cases, the wiring can be restored by repairing the existing wiring harness.
A large variety of wire colours and wire gauges were used for all VW models, so do not underestimate this. The colour itself is less important, although when tracing faults using original wiring diagrams it is very useful to always use the correct wire colour. What is extremely important, however, is using the correct wire gauge. You would not be the first person to experience a fire caused by using the wrong wire gauge.
The 0.5 mm² wire listed here is mainly used for control current applications and complies with Volkswagen specifications, with the correct shade of yellow naturally being maintained.
