Product description
A well-known rust spot on all classic Volkswagens is the underside of the door, and the same applies to our Volkswagen Combi.
This repair piece replaces the bottom of the door above the wheel arch. For a perfect restoration, generously grind the affected area. If necessary, cut the repair part to size and weld the parts together neatly. Drill the original spot welds where two metal parts overlap. Then spot-weld the new part back into place. If you don't have a spot-welding machine, drill small holes in one of the overlapping parts and fill them with welding material. This is how you simulate a spot weld.
Note: to prevent the sheet from warping, keep the door damp during welding and weld in sections, never all at once.
