Product description
A V-belt is worn when it starts to show small cracks, but these are often not immediately visible. By slightly twisting the V-belt, any cracks can be detected more easily. Therefore, check both the condition of the V-belt and the correct tension during every maintenance service, refer to your workshop manual for details.
We recommend always carrying a spare V-belt with you, so you are not faced with unexpected issues on the road.
This cogged V-belt provides more grip than the smooth V-belts that Volkswagen originally installed in the 1960s and 1970s.
All V-belts have their dimensions listed (width x outer circumference), and for Type 1 engines also the diameter of the crankshaft pulley. Check these specifications carefully before ordering.
