In order to obtain the highest cooling efficiency from your fan shroud, these ramflow fan shroud have been developed.
Thanks to its angular shape, the cooling air is blown directly onto the cylinders without interrupting the oil cooler.
The standard oil cooler can therefore no longer be used; an external oil cooler is the only solution. The fan shrouds are therefore provided with a recess at the rear for an oil cooler adapter.
It is suitable for a cooling fan of a 1300 or 1600 cc Volkswage Type-1 engine with dual intake. If you don't have one, order it as an extra, it is mentioned in the "options" tab. Using a smaller fan from a Type-1 single intake engine makes you lose cooling capacity, which we want to increase with this Flow-Air fan shroud.
This fan shroud does not yet have a hole for the throttle cable, you will have to drill it yourself. The threads for mounting the alternator cover plate and cylinder plates are not metric, so 1/4 inch x 20 bolts are included, keep that in mind if you want to replace them.
