Rain, snow and large debris do not affect this air filter originally developed for Buggies and Bajas with open engines.
The days when it was only used for these cars are long gone. Today, this louvered air filter is used on all Volkswagens equipped with an original carburetor.
Make sure you always have a spare filter element in stock (see replacement parts tab), it is recommended to replace it every 5000 km.
The air filter is equipped with a housing vent connection for an internal hose size of 12.7 mm. If your connection to your oil filler piece is larger, it is advisable to install another oil filler piece for a 12.7 mm hose (see the related parts tab).
