Product description
In racing cars (circuit and drag-racing), one drives at high speed. If the engine speed is suddenly increased, there can be so much pressure in the oil lines that the oil filter explodes spontaneously. This oil pump cover is equipped with a pressure valve which, at a pressure of 9 bar, circulates the oil in the pump, thus limiting the increase in pressure. The valve is a protection for your oil circuit that is only activated when it is really needed. This high quality cover is manufactured by CNC (using computerized production control) from high quality aluminium with a corrosion resistant anodized coating.
Supplied without optional gaskets and hose fittings (3/8 NPT threads).
Caution: A standard oil filter also explodes at 9 bar, so only use a high-performance oil filter (see "options" tab).
