Product description
It is quite common for this spring to break. When this happens, the clutch no longer fully returns, causing the release bearing to rotate slightly all the time. This can lead to premature and excessive wear.
Therefore, check the condition of this spring during every maintenance service and replace it if necessary. The spring is located around the clutch fork and clamps around the clutch arm on the side of the gearbox.
Installation is not an easy task and is difficult to carry out while the clutch arm is still mounted. Removing the arm makes the job significantly easier.
Attention: The spring listed here for the later T2 Bay and early T25 models is the only reproduction spring that is 100% identical to the original. Not only are the dimensions and finish identical, but the spring tension is also exactly the same. Be cautious with cheaper reproductions, as they often differ significantly. This can lead to fitment issues and a shorter lifespan, meaning the job may need to be repeated in the near future, this time with a spring that truly matches the original 1:1.
