Product description
With almost every restoration, it will be necessary to replace the seals between the body and the turn signals. Prolonged exposure to sunlight and UV radiation causes the rubber to dry out and develop small cracks. Once the rubber has dried out and cracked, it can be considered worn out and must be replaced.
For the 1970 model year, Volkswagen changed the opening in the inner wing from 12 to 16 mm. This is why there are two different rubbers that look almost identical. The only difference is the grommet section that is pushed through the inner wing.
If your Beetle has been restored in the past, the inner wing may have been replaced. In that case, the diameter of the opening may differ from what was originally fitted.
Always check the diameter of the opening in the inner wing before ordering and do not rely solely on the model year of your Beetle.
