Product description
To protect the fuel tank, avoid metal-to-metal noise and prevent vibrations, the brackets that secure the fuel tank are fitted with felt strips.to protect the fuel tank, avoid metal-to-metal noise and prevent vibration, the brackets that hold the fuel tank are fitted with felt strips, and these strips are also present on the upper sheet metal on which the fuel tank rests.
They've probably decomposed over the years, and all you'll see are traces of felt or glue, but it's important to restore these felt strips to their former glory.
You can choose to fix them, but it's better to glue them, as they'll stay in place when the fuel tank is fitted.
