Engine overhaul - video 16 part 1 - valves removal
In this first part of video 16, we disassemble cylinder head valves and valve springs. In the first part, we start by demonstrating the tools and techniques used, and disassemble the valves of a relatively new cylinder head.
In Part 2, we`ll show you how to remove valves from cylinder heads that have had to endure a little more. The diagnosis of valves and valve springs is covered in video 4 of our other series on diagnosing Type 1 engines. The complete overhaul of the cylinder head is covered later in this engine overhaul series, in Video 21. Here, we`ll only cover the disassembly and assembly of valves and valve springs.
