Product description
The side windows in the passenger compartment of the Volkswagen T2 Split are fully or partly fitted with pop-out windows. These windows can be opened a few centimetres outwards for additional ventilation.
On many Volkswagen Buses, the original pop-out window frames are no longer in good usable condition. Rust is usually the main cause.
The frames are available in two versions. The original-style version is made from untreated steel and can be painted in the desired colour. This version can be found under the Alternatives tab. The version listed here is made from aluminium.
With aluminium, rust and flaking paint are a thing of the past. By polishing the frame, a high-gloss finish can also be achieved that closely resembles chrome. Thanks to the choice of material and the way the frame is assembled, this aluminium version can be offered at a lower price than the untreated steel version.
If you prefer maximum originality and an appearance that is virtually indistinguishable from the original, we recommend the untreated steel version.
