Product description
On vehicles equipped with axle shafts (IRS, independent rear suspension with constant velocity joints on both sides), the distance from the center of the gearbox to the left and right axle flange must be equal. A small deviation of a few millimeters is acceptable.
This distance, and therefore also the track width, can be adjusted using spacer rings located between the trailing arm bushings and the mounting box.
There must always be two spacer rings per side. The track width can be set by placing two rings on the outside, placing two rings on the inside, or placing one ring on the inside and one on the outside.
With these three options the correct distance can always be achieved. If this is not the case, it may indicate damage from the past, for example due to a collision. In that case the cause must first be identified and the damage repaired before the correct adjustment can be made.
