Product description
The control arm bolts can become extremely tight after many years of use. For this reason Volkswagen used an Allen bolt instead of a hex bolt, allowing more force to be applied during removal.
However, it still happens quite often that the bolt head gets damaged due to incorrect tools being used. If the wrong socket or key is used, the internal hex can easily become rounded. Rust can also be a reason why the bolt can no longer be reused.
The section of the bolt that passes through the control arm bushings must remain smooth. If this area is affected by rust or wear, play can develop in the suspension.
These bolts are supplied in very high quality, equal to the original part.
