The quality of reproduction restoration panels has improved significantly in recent years. In many cases the quality is now equal to, or even better than, the original body panels. This is especially true for the step corners.
In the past it was common to work with several small repair sections in order to retain as much original metal as possible. Only when there was no other option was the complete corner section replaced, often with a reproduction part of inferior quality. Today things are different. Thanks to the greatly improved quality of reproduction panels, the complete step corner can now be replaced in one go with a high-quality reproduction part.
If the budget is limited, or if you prefer to retain as much original metal as possible, you can also choose to replace only a section of the step corner using separate repair panels. These replacement parts can be found under the “replacement parts” tab.
