William Dzus was the inventor of the DZUS fastener. This quarter-turn fastener is widely used in the aviation and automotive industries to quickly lock and unlock panels.
In addition to the DZUS fastener itself, which can be found under the ‘Options’ tab, a retaining spring is also required for installation.
Two versions of retaining springs are available. When a solid surface is available for mounting the retaining spring, such as a metal body panel, the loose retaining spring can be chosen. This is preferably mounted using pop rivets. In situations where no direct mounting surface is available, the retaining spring with weldable mounting base offers a suitable solution.
