The Karmann Ghia Cabriolet has a number of additional reinforcements, which were not used on the sedan version. The roof largely determines the rigidity of the body. When the roof is removed, this has to be compensated, which is why the cabriolet version is reinforced in several places.
The most important and also the largest reinforcement is located between the heater channel and the outer plating, and is welded to the box beam.
Original there is a left and right side. Our reproduction is a modified version, which not only replaces the original perfectly, but can also be used universally (for both left and right sides), and because the holes are closed, the body becomes a lot stiffer than the original.
