Most gear shifting problems are directly related to the gearbox, but often the problem is in the path of the gear shift to the gearbox. In our ageing Volkswagen Buses, wear and tear on the gear shift mechanism is common, e.g. the gear lever connection in the shift bar wears out over time, so that, for example, reverse gear can be selected without unlocking (by pressing the lever).
Now you can buy a brand new gearshift with everything in it, but with just the gearshift, you've basically got enough. Furthermore, this is an original Volkswagen part and not a reproduction like the complete gearshift, which means that you are assured of a high quality part that does not affect the originality.
Caution: Only suitable for left-hand drive VW Bus vehicles
