Product description
Over time, the seats collapse, causing the seat padding to tear. This tear is caused by the gap between the seat padding and the upholstery. But the most annoying thing is the lack of comfort. Check the condition of the seat padding before replacing it. A new seat trim on an old slumped padding gives a reasonable result immediately after assembly, but after a few months, the seat trim comes off and you will have to replace the padding anyway.
For many years of construction and models of the Volkswagen Beetle and Bus, there are new seat pads available in the same material as the one used by Volkswagen at the time. With the exception of the seat upholstery of the 1976 Volkswagen Beetles and later, all remaining fillings are made from cocoa beads better known as horsehair.
The image shows the sizes in case you are not sure which year of manufacture the seat or bench was installed in your car, because they may have been replaced by a previous owner.
Between the seat or springs and the upholstery there must be a damping felt that protects the padding and helps prevent spring noise, order this supplement (see options tab).
