Product description
Locknuts (better known by their English name `speednuts`) are clamping plates that act as nuts for parking screws.
This spring-steel clamp is used when threads must be present somewhere, but cannot be tapped due to their thinness.
They have also been used in various places on our classic Volkswagens, mainly where the sheet metal is thin and tapping or welding nuts is not possible.
Corrosion affects the tightening range, and if too thick a Parker screw has been used, the correct Parker screw will no longer fit, so in both cases you'll need to replace the nuts.
The locknuts listed here have been used for various applications, you'll find the complete overview below with the number if you're going to replace them all for the corresponding part.
