Product description
After the model change in 1967, many things changed, except the basic shape, the Bay Window Bus did not look like its predecessor. Not only have the driving characteristics of the new Bus been greatly improved, but the interior was also more luxurious and modern than its predecessor. The dashboard was equipped with a glove compartment that its predecessor had never seen before. With the cheapest Bay Window Buses the glove box was not lockable and with the more luxurious versions it was the case. At the time, you could order an optional lockable glove box if the Bus you wanted to order did not have it as standard. It was a luxury to be able to lock the glove compartment with a key, but in practice it was never used and the glove compartment was always open.
The glove box door shown here is therefore intended for the most common model, i. e. without the possibility of a key lock.
Supplied ready for assembly, made of black plastic with the right relief and with hinges mounted.
