Our classic Volkswagens were very practical at the time. Instead of a carpet, the floor is covered with a rubber mat. It's good for keeping clean, but it doesn't give a comfortable feeling. That is why many people have replaced it with carpet, but it also has a drawback. Because of the many entrances and exits, the carpet wears out and there are mud stains and other things you bring with your shoes.
Thus, both carpet and rubber have advantages and disadvantages. When you place a rubber mat on top of your existing rubber mat or carpet, all the inconvenience is removed. These rubber mats are an ideal protection for your mat and they are easy to clean, which is especially interesting during the wet seasons.
These rubber mats are much quicker to clean than your existing rubber mat and if you put them on top of your existing mat, you have optimal protection for your fabric mats. The mats are fitted with non-slip pads on the underside to prevent slipping when boarding and disembarking. The profiled top retains dirt.
Just shake it out and clean it with soap and your interior will be as good as new. You may also consider installing rubber mats during the winter months and using carpet mats for the summer (see alternatives tab) which give a warmer look and can possibly be combined with the rest of your interior
