Product description
If the oil pump cover has wear grooves caused by the gears, the cover needs to be machined, which most of us don't have the opportunity to do, so replacing the cover is the easiest thing to do.
If grooves are present, or if the cover is not 100% flat, you will irreparably suffer from a loss of oil pressure, which you must avoid.
Caution! When fitting a new oil pump, never replace the old cover, as this could cause problems. And don't forget to order the nuts with washers (originally used on older engines with 6 mm threaded ends) or the special nuts with seals. Depending on the oil pump cover, nuts with washers and/or special nuts with seals are listed in the "options" tab.
