Replacing the push button used to operate the handbrake is particularly common if it has been lost during restoration or if it has lost its looks over the years.
In addition, the threads may no longer be in order or the castle tower shaped plastic may be worn out. In this case also the button will have to be replaced.
It's an original button, so with the correct black color.
