Product description
The spring plates have to endure a lot, as they are the backbone of the rear suspension. In off-road use, they break regularly, which is not only due to the heavy load, but weakening from excessive rust also weakens the spring plates.
The spring plates should be straight when fully unloaded (without the rear suspension mounted), they should not be bent, if it is, it is time to replace them. If the problem is just rust, you can sandblast them, but only if they are not too deeply corroded. If they are, they are weakened and it is not advisable to put them back on.
This new spring plate is powder coated at the factory so it can be mounted immediately.
If you wish to mount height adjustable plates, please see the "other models" tab. There you will find not only spring plates for a swing axle, but also those for IRS.
Don't forget to order the spring plate rubbers (see the "Options" tab), because reusing old, sagging rubbers is a decision you will regret later.
A spring plate/torsion bar tool is an essential tool for tightening the spring plate, which you can also find in the "Options" tab.
