Product description
The steering column is attached to the steering box by two flanges, between which is a flexible coupling (Hardy disk). In most cases, heavy rusting in the keyways is the reason for replacement.
Thanks to these keyways, the flanges are adjustable. Assemble the assembly and tighten the collar bolt around the steering column last. This will prevent tension on the flexible coupling and ensure correct alignment of the steering column.
For perfectionists, these clamps are fully chromed. Of course, you can also opt for a coat of lacquer or a protective undercoat. After all, not everyone wants to have to polish the underside of their car too, which is the downside of under-car chrome.
Don't forget to order the appropriate mounting hardware and flexible connector. If flanges have to be replaced, the same often applies to these parts.
