Product description
These special 5 mm thick pressure rings are intended for mounting the upper ball joint and, on the VW Thing, also for pressing on the spring plates.
If you use a universal ring (of a different thickness) for this purpose, you won't be able to tighten the kingpin ball and/or spring plates in the prescribed way, which could even lead to a dangerous situation.
Note: the pressure rings listed here are exactly the right size. Don't be tempted by cheap reproductions whose choice of materials and dimensions often differ from the original.
