Product description
The play on the steering column of cars from 1967 onwards is often due to the wear of a bushing between the steering column and the bearing. It can only be replaced when the bearing has been removed, and as this takes some time, the bearing is usually replaced immediately. The bearing is secured in the steering column by a retaining ring. Therefore first remove the retaining ring.
For older cars this is not a roller bearing but a bearing bush. The bearing is no longer made of fiber (like the original), but of wear-resistant Teflon (you probably will never have to replace it again).
The bearings are delivered as a set for the years 1961 to 1970. Before and after this, the bearing is delivered separately and you may need to take the extra filler sleeve, see the "related parts" tab.
