Product description
Our air-cooled Volkswagens are equipped with a forced-air cooling system, via a tunnel system, a fan blows the air to all the parts to be cooled.
It is important that the cooling air, once the work is completed, leaves the engine compartment without leakage. If this is not the case, the air in the engine compartment is heated, and it is precisely this air that the fan must use in for engine cooling.
The sheet metal around the oil cooler is therefore equipped with seals where the cooling tunnel is mounted against the other part of the fan shroud and around the tunnel at the outlet of the engine compartment.
These joints are often dehydrated so that perfect sealing is no longer possible, do not take unnecessary risks and replace hardened or partially rotten joints. Supplied in two-piece kit.
