Product description
The first seat belts Ford installed in a car in 1956 were hip belts. This type of seat belt was used until many years later. For our classic Volkswagen, too, it was possible to have seat belts installed as early as 1961, not that this was often requested, but it was considered a deprivation of liberty. At that time, road safety was not yet taken into account. Now we know better and seat belts have become an important part of the car, even in classic cars, seat belts are fitted en masse.
You can wear a modern (safe) 3-point belt, but you can also stay in the classic style by wearing these hip belts. They carry the Wolfsburg logo on the buckle and are available in different colours. For the Retrolook enthusiasts among us, there is only one type of seatbelt allowed to embellish the interior and it is displayed here.
Supplied in pairs, including mounting hardware.
