Product description
The intake manifold of the 1300 and 1600 cc dual intake engines consists of three parts that are connected to each other by flexible sleeves or boots.
Dehydration is often the cause of leaks. These leaks will attract air into the intake manifold, which can cause considerable damage to the engine. Check the condition of the rubber boots regularly and replace them if in doubt.
To replace them, it is necessary to remove the intake manifold. Always replace the seals between the inlet elbows and the cylinder head (see options tab) and, if necessary, the clamps used to mount the boots (see options tab).
It is also possible to replace these boots without disassembling the intake manifold, open sleeves (manifold split boots) are available (see the alternatives tab).
