In addition to a closed version, the Volkswagen Bus is also available in a pick-up version, a minority of which has a crew cab, also known as a double cab.
The cargo tray (loading bed) is the most critical point, where moisture remains and slowly eats away at the metal. Since the tray had to be able to carry everything, the rusting process is accelerated by the numerous paint damages that have occurred since the first day after purchase.
The front wall mentioned here replaces the original and can be used for all pickup versions until the arrival of the third generation Volkswagen Bus.
