Our Volkswagens are full of screws, bolts, nuts and washers that are not all made for a particular model, but are universally used. These parts are identified by the part number starting with the "N" of Normteile or standard parts.

Now you would think that these standard parts can be found at any hardware store but Volkswagen has not made it that easy. They may be standard parts that are mass-produced for various applications, but most of them are not common and therefore not found on the shelves of the hardware store. It may be a standard part but this does not mean it is still freely available today hence many parts in our range where the VW number starts with the "N" are specially manufactured by us or for us.

The sheet metal screws listed here have a countersunk head with saw cut in size 3.5 x 13 mm and are made of stainless steel. The conical washers that act as washers for the sheet metal screws have an inner diameter of 3.7 mm and are also made of stainless steel (polished). The set consists of 30 washers and 30 screws

The combination of the screw with the conical washer is mainly used in the assembly of cladding panels. In the overview below, only the applications where the plate screw is used in combination with the conical washer are mentioned. The sheet metal screw is also available separately and has several applications without the washer #70403
