In older Karmann Ghia and Volkswagen Beetle models, the rear seat backrest is held in place by a rubber band clamped behind a hook.
This rubber is not suitable if the backrest is locked by a mechanism as on the newer and more luxurious post-1968 Volkswagen Beetle models. For the Karmann Ghia, this rubber is available in two colours, as it was originally. The year of manufacture indicates when Volkswagen used this colour, so in terms of model, they are identical.
Are delivered per piece (the Karmann Ghia convertible requires up to chassis number 147 658 106 two).
