Standard Bouclé carpet sets for Beetle interiors are supplied without the interior boot lining behind the rear bench seat. When renewing the interior of your Beetle, it is advisable to order this optional kit to make it complete.
For models up to and including July 1964, the cat box is only sparsely trimmed. Only the inner fenders and the floor area well below the rear window are carpeted. from August 1964 onwards, this system is extended, and not only the cat box is carpeted, but also the rear of the rear seat, which extends all the way below the rear window.
If you've removed the rear bench seat to create a wider, flatter load floor, you'll be missing a section with a standard carpet set. Fortunately, a special carpet set has been developed for this purpose too, so you can cover the cargo area neatly.
All mat sets have visible sewn edges and are glued. Don't forget to order the glue as well (see 'Options' tab).
