Product description
This chromed escutcheon finishes off the mounting nut of the Karmann Ghia's mirrors.
This escutcheon was also used for the Volkswagen Beetle convertible until July 1967 to meet safety requirements in some countries. In these countries, the mirrors could only be mounted on the doors and not on the hinges, as was the case with Volkswagen at that time. The mirrors used for this purpose came from the Karmann Ghia, as did the mounting base.
In addition to the exterior mirrors, yellow headlight lenses were also part of this safety package, which was registered internally under the code name M124.
