Product description
To be able to remove the gear lever from the chassis, there are holes in the spare wheel arch (outside and inside) and in the head of the chassis which are closed with covers. The cover shown here is the one on the head of the chassis. It is important that the tunnel is properly closed so that no moisture can enter, in case of a rusty lid the moisture has a free passage. This cover is even better than the original, electro-galvanized and made of cold-rolled steel, which is much more resistant to corrosion.
Delivered without the necessary gasket, take it in addition (see options tab).
Attention: These covers or plates are 100% identical to the original, if you want to mount them on a VW1200, VW1300, Karmann Ghia or VW Thing with a reproduction chassis head, you will have to adjust the cover. It fits on the reproduction of the chassis head intended for Beetles 1302 and 1303.
