Dark tail light lenses have been a trend in the automotive world for quite some time. When switched off, the lenses are dark, but once the lights are turned on, the actual light colour becomes visible.
Many standard tail lights are darkened afterwards using special paint or film. This is not legally permitted. Tail light lenses that are already dark from the factory are accepted in many cases. In some countries, however, it is mandatory for the tail lights to have European approval, the so-called E-mark.
For the turn signals, it is important to use orange bulbs instead of the standard clear ones. Always order these as well, they can be found under the Options tab.
Please note: These tail light lenses are a very economical choice. Do not expect perfectly finished tail light lenses, but rather an affordable alternative where the finish may leave something to be desired in places. This version also does not have European approval, E-mark.
