Product description
If the rotating mechanism continues to turn, in most cases it's the mechanism behind the control crank that's at fault.
A worn gear is the most common cause. Fortunately, it's not necessary to replace the entire drive mechanism; the pinion can also be replaced separately.
Note: the pinion shown here is exactly the right size, unlike many reproductions whose outer size is too small. This prevents the pinion from slipping back onto the cable in a short space of time.
