Product description
Before installing a door panel, make sure that moisture does not damage it. The door is provided with a transparent plastic film between the door panel and the door metal ex works. This film shows the exact contours of the door, including cutouts for door opener and window crank.
Usually, you see that a universal film was used in which holes were drilled here and there. If, over time, the door panel deforms, you know that this was not the right approach. Holes in the wrong place, not well placed, glued with masking tape are just a few examples of how not to do it.
Work as Volkswagen applied it from the factory with a special tailor-made film of the right thickness. The protective film mentioned here is the same as the original and guarantees a moisture-resistant layer between the door metal and your door panel.
You glue the film with spray glue at the last minute when you are sure that everything is in place and you no longer need to have access to the inside of your door. Use spray glue (indicated under the options tab) and apply it only to the outer edges and do not forget any parts, as you know that moisture does not need much space to penetrate.
