Product description
Where body parts are spot-welded together, the seal is provided with a layer of filler before the car is painted. If the sealant loses its flexibility over time, moisture has the opportunity to seep between the two body parts, which sooner or later leads to the formation of rust craters. If you don't act fast, rust will take over and you'll have to replace sheet metal parts. The side panels have those rust-sensitive seams, so it's best to replace the entire width.
There are three repair parts for the center side panel on the left side of the Volkswagen Bus (the side without the sliding door):
- the lower sill with 19 cm of welded side panel
- the detached side panel with a height of 19
- a detached side panel with a height of 95 cm (arrives just below the side window, if present)
