The Karmann Ghia models delivered to the United States and Canada had to comply at a certain point with the different legal lighting requirements that apply there.
To improve visibility, additional reflectors were therefore fitted. The reflector listed here is mounted on the rear of the car, below the tail light.
This reflector consists of two parts: the part shown here is the rear section, which is visible from the back. This section continues slightly around the corner, but on the side it transitions into a second, separate reflector.
