Product description
From the 1978 model year, Volkswagen Buses for passenger transport could also be equipped with full sliding windows instead of vent windows. In warmer regions where these VW Buses were often used as taxis, this option was popular as an additional passenger comfort for more cooling. In our climate, this was an option that was mainly applied to the more luxurious VW Buses.
Simply remove your existing window and rubber and replace it with the sliding window mentioned here. These sliding windows have a black aluminium frame and are delivered without rubber. If your existing window rubber has a chrome frame, you will need to order a window rubber without a chrome molding groove (indicated in the options tab). If your window rubber does not have a molding, you can reuse it.
These sliding windows fit all VW Vanagons provided they are fitted with windows originally, not VW Buses with windows fitted subsequently.
Note: It is not advisable to replace the rear side window on the side of the sliding door with a sliding window.
