Because of the splashes of water and mud, the mudguards suffer a lot inside, you will be able to see the consequences during the restoration.
In many cases a limited restoration is sufficient for which various pieces of sheet metal are available that can replace the wrong part.
The Volkswagen Beetle has separate fenders while the rear fenders of the Karmann Ghia are in one piece with the bodywork, which doesn't make restoration any easier, but separate metal parts are also available for this purpose.
Under the "other models" tab, the different spare parts are listed, take a good look at what a part looks like to determine if the size of the part is sufficient to replace the defective part.
