Product description
The engine oil is sucked in through the suction pipe on the lower part of the engine crankcase. This suction pipe is equipped with a protective plate that allows the oil to be pumped from an oil bath that is as stable as possible. The suction pipe is mounted inside the crankcase on one of the threaded ends with which the sump plate is also fixed, it cannot be replaced if the crankcase is not disassembled into two parts. Now you also know why there is a longer threaded end present in the threaded end set of the sump plate (see options tab), this should secure the suction pipe inside. This suction pipe is intended for engines with large oil channels, but using an oil sieve for small oil channels, so order the appropriate oil sieve immediately (see options tab). The reason why Volkswagen adapted this suction pipe, which requires the use of a sieve with a smaller diameter than the original one, is not exactly known. This is probably related to production for Mexico and Brazil, as engines from these countries are fitted with them as standard.
Caution: There are several imitations that do not all fit in the same way, which can lead to undesirable blockages when pumping, or the pumped oil is not partially filtered. This oil suction pipe comes directly from Volkswagen Wolfsburg's stocks, so you are assured of high German quality.
