Product description
If you are going to install a narrowed front axle your existing track rods will no longer fit, they must be shortened to the same length as your front axle and stabilizer bar. The track rods listed here are the correct length for use with our range of narrowed front axles and are supplied as a complete set, including ball joints.
If you already have a narrowed front axle, check that the length is adequate. The lengths are measured without the balls and are listed in the specifications. In addition, check the thread, or thickness with which the ball is mounted in the stub axle arm. The thread size is listed as a specification with the replacement balls (see replacement parts tab).
Note for cars between1965 and 1968:
Use set #3119 and replace the track rod balls with the balls intended for the year of manufacture of your Volkswagen (1965-1968).
