Product description
On the Karmann Ghia, the wiring in the luggage compartment is protected by the cardboard trunk liner. Over time, however, this cardboard often becomes worn, distorted or torn. As a result, the section intended to protect the wiring no longer stays properly in place and may even fold forwards, leaving the wiring barely protected.
You can of course fit a complete new cardboard trunk liner, but then you are still relying on the same relatively vulnerable material. A more durable solution is to retain your existing trunk liner and neatly cut away only the section around the wiring with a sharp knife. This section can then be replaced by the plastic wiring panel listed here.
The plastic panel will not warp, provides excellent protection for the wiring and, thanks to the textured surface, also gives the luggage compartment a neat and finished appearance.
If you prefer not to fit a trunk liner at all but still want the wiring neatly and safely covered, this panel is also an excellent solution.
