Until July 1965, Volkswagen Beetles and Karmann Ghia's were still equipped with king and link pin instead of ball joints. The Buses had to wait a bit longer for this, after the model change in 1967 they also used ball joints.

If there is too much play on a ball joint, replace it to fix the problem. With king and link pins, it's a whole different story, an overhaul takes much longer.

The kit listed here includes all the wear parts you can use to perform the overhaul, but remember that you are working on an old car. It is therefore possible that you may need other parts in addition to this set, you will find these parts under the options tab and related parts tab.

All kits are designed for the left and right side, the sets for the Buses up to and including 1962 are equipped with standard and oversized bearing bushings. These are not included in the set from 1962 to 7.1967, please order the correct bearing rings (listed under the options tab).

Note: Remember that you need special tools and a press to do the job.
