The mudguards or fenders on most Volkswagen Things restoration vehicles require special attention. Dents can be removed, but if rust has taken over, replacement is the most effective solution.
The front fenders, like the original, are made of steel, while for the rear fenders you can choose between metal and fiberglass-reinforced polyester (listed in the "alternatives" tab).
The brackets used on the military versions to mount the headlight covers so as not to reflect light are not present on the civilian version, so you'll need to transfer them from your old mudguards if you wish.
Please note: steel fenders are supplied with transport paint, which may show scratches and small dents. Please note that painted fenders cannot be returned for any reason. The rule for all fenders is: first install, then paint, that's the best way to go.
